Fall '11 Recreational Season


Season Dates and Times

The season will run from August 20th through October 22nd.  Games will start as early as 8:15am and end no later than 4pm.   The girls divisions will be starting the day and the boys games will follow.

 

Registration Dates

Registration will be available online from April 18th through June 12th.  We will be holding two  in person registrations.  The first will be at Renwick Community Park on May 21st from 9am – 3pm.  The second will be held at Van Horn Woods on June 4th from 9am – 3pm. 

Wait List 

Registration for the wait list will open on June 13th and will remain open through July 10th.  We will fill in players from the wait list up until the day before games start.  If your child does not get placed on a team by the start of the season, you will receive a full refund.  Refunds will be issued on August 22nd.  We will only contact you if a spot opens for your child.

 

Fees

The cost of the Fall 2011 season is $120 per player.  Visa and Mastercard are accepted through a secured site when registering online.  Checks are also an accepted form of payment for online registration.  Please make checks payable to PSA.  There is a $25 fee for all returned checks.

 

Length of games and number of field players:

U5 Girls and Boys – 4  7 min halves playing 4v4

U6 Girls and Boys – 4   8 min halves playing 5v5

U7/U8 Girls and Boys - 4  10 min quarters playing 5v5

U10 Girls and Boys - 4  12 min quarters playing 7v7

U12 Girls and Boys and U14 Girls - 2 30 min halves playing 9v9

U14 Boys - 2 30 minute halves playing 11v11

 

Uniform

PSA will provide a jersey that the player will keep at the end of the season.  Players are required to wear black shorts, black socks and shin guards.  Soccer cleats (no front toe cleat) or gym shoes are to be worn.  For player safety, unprotected eyeglasses may not be worn.  Players may either wear prescription sports goggles or sports goggles over glasses.  The wearing of jewelry (earrings, rings, necklaces, watches, bracelets, etc…), hard casts and any items deemed harmful by the referees are strictly prohibited during games. 

 

Refund Policy

$20 is non-refundable at the time of registration.  A refund must be requested 48 hours prior to the first game.  REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED AFTER THE FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON.

 

Age Requirements

Children must have turned 4 years old prior to August 1, 2011 but not older than 13 years of age on July 31, 2011.  Our league is divided into the following divisions based on the age of your child as of July 31, 2011.

Requests:

PSA cannot guarantee the placement of your child on a specific team, unless you volunteer and are chosen to coach a team. Please note that PSA cannot honor requests for specific practice days.  PSA does not have the practice information from the coaches at the time the teams are put together.

 

Your child’s coach will contact your by phone or email before the season starts.  

 

PSA is a volunteer run association.  Please come and join in on the fun of providing a quality soccer program for the youth of our community.
