PLAINFIELD SOCCER ASSOCIATION PARTNERS WITH CHICAGO RED STARS
Plainfield, IL (December 10, 2008) – Plainfield Soccer Association Legends (PSA) and the Chicago Red Stars of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) have entered into a comprehensive partnership that will provide educational, inspirational, recreational, promotional and developmental opportunities for the membership of the club, PSA President Rob Ayres announced today.
“This is a great opportunity for our entire organization,” said PSA President Rob Ayres. “The Chicago Red Stars have shown a strong desire to help mold the next generation of soccer players into leaders on the field as well as in their communities. PSA is excited and appreciative to form a partnership with the entire Red Stars organization that will help develop our players so they can reach their potential both as players and people!”
As a part of this partnership, PSA will have a continual presence at every Red Stars home game, to be played at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois. Each PSA player will attend one Red Stars game with their team and trainers for educational purposes. There will also be a PSA Night at a Red Stars home game where the Party Deck will be made available for Plainfield Soccer Association. PSA players and families will also have numerous opportunities to interact with and learn from Red Stars players and coaching staff on a one-on-one basis.
“We are very excited to join forces with the Plainfield Soccer Association,” said Chicago Red Stars General Manager Marcia McDermott. “PSA has shown great enthusiasm in developing a mutual partnership and through the engagement of their leadership they have consistently fostered positive and challenging environments for teaching and developing soccer players.”
The Chicago Red Stars, a charter member of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS), will kick off their inaugural season in April, 2009. The Red Stars will play their home games at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois. For more information, log on to www.chicagoredstars.com.
