The Plainfield Soccer Association (PSA) is excited to announce the hiring of Steve Morris as its Director of Coaching.  Steve brings a tremendous amount of professional experience, including:  Former Head Coach of the Chicago Storm - professional men’s indoor team (2006 – 2009), Assistant Coach with the Milwaukee Wave - professional men’s team the (2003 – 2006), Director of Coaching and Player Development with the Brookfield Soccer Association of Wisconsin (1996 – 2004), and professional player with the Milwaukee Wave of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), winning 4 MISL Championships (1992 – 2001).  Steve has extensive expertise with the growth of recreation and travel soccer programs, as well as soccer camps that have seen explosive growth year-over-year.  He further assisted in the management of a number of indoor training facilities and was a High-School Soccer Head-Coach.

Steve attended, played soccer and graduated from SyracuseUniversity in New York.  His accomplishments while at Syracuse:  Syracuse University Men’s Soccer All-Time Points Leader, Two-Time Big East Player of the Year, Big East Rookie of the Year and Two Year Syracuse University Captain. 

Both Steve’s playing and coaching experience will assist the PSA and Legends programs take the next steps needed for player and organizational growth.  His passion for the game and for helping develop children into better players and young adults will definitely be a benefit to all the members of the organization and the community.

Says Morris, "It is with great pleasure and excitement that I accept the offer to become the new Director of Coaching for the Plainfield Soccer Association and the Legends Travel Program. Although I have been involved in the professional game for the past five years, I have been able to remain close to the youth soccer scene through a heavy involvement in the summer soccer camp business. The landscape of youth soccer has changed over the last five years, but I’m excited to work with such a dedicated group of young athletes and coaches as well as a very committed Board of Directors. I look forward to bringing my experiences to PSA and help shape this thriving club for years to come."
